The Work Table and the crafting loop
The Work Table is the central crafting station. It accepts raw materials (wood, stone, fibre, ore ingots) and outputs furniture, tools, sprinklers, and decorations. Split stacks via the Work Table once you upgrade to rank 2 — splitting a stack of 99 wood into 99 single units lets you hand-place each one for path layouts without spending extra stamina.
Building mode, free-form placement, and grid snapping
Toggle Building Mode from the in-game menu (or the right Joy-Con C-button on Switch 2). Inside Building Mode, items snap to a tile grid by default; hold the action button to free-place for organic paths and curved fences. The camera also unlocks rotation in 15° increments, which is essential for diagonal pathways.
Starsand Station and community blueprints
Starsand Station is the in-game community centre. After the May 2026 update, it accepts Blueprint uploads from the Steam Workshop. Subscribe to a Workshop blueprint in your Steam client and it appears under 'My Blueprints' in the Station. The Blueprint Contest winners pack (20+ layouts) is free for all players.
Best furniture sets and the Seasonal Furniture Shop
Furniture sets rotate seasonally: Chinese New Year, Ribbit Holiday, Shining Star, and Autumn Pumpkin. The Seasonal Furniture Shop restocks every in-game month. If you have spare coins, stockpile the Apricot set (Spring) and the Maple set (Fall) — both fit most build themes and resell well on the Multiplayer Shop.
Vehicles, decorations, and the new 1.0 content
Version 1.0 added the Multiplayer Shop (spend Multiplayer Coins on furniture and decor), hot-springs date furniture for romance scenes, and the Jet Ski as a craftable vehicle. Vehicles are placeable like furniture once unlocked; the Jet Ski in particular unlocks offshore fishing tiles and the King Fish spawn zones.
