Character creation at the start
The character creator opens after the train sequence on Day 1. You can pick from eight skin tones, twelve hairstyles, and a full colour picker for eye colour. Gender expression is not gated — you can romance any of the 15 candidates regardless of the slider settings. You can revisit the creator from the pause menu at any time.
Outfit slots and dye
Three outfit slots are available from the start: Shirt, Pants, and Hat. The Deluxe Edition and the founder cosmetic pack add two more (Dress and Cape). Each outfit accepts a dye once you unlock the dye station in the Work Table upgrade path — colours are persistent across save files.
Pet outfits and companions
Pets (cats, dogs, capybaras) get their own outfit slots once you reach 2 hearts with the relevant NPC. Outfits include the sailor suit, the floral crown, and the seasonal packs (Chinese New Year, Ribbit Holiday). Pet cosmetics are account-wide, so you can swap them between pets without losing progress.
Unlockable cosmetics and how to earn them
Most cosmetics come from free DLC packs (Chinese New Year, Ribbit Holiday, Shining Star) or from the seasonal shop. A handful of exclusive hairstyles are tied to NPC heart events — the Beach Festival hairstyle, for example, only drops after the corresponding NPC reaches 4 hearts.
Photo mode and share presets
Photo mode unlocks at 2 hearts with any romance candidate. It supports pose presets, weather overrides, and filter slots. Save your favourite setup as a preset — useful for in-game postcards, social posts, or screenshots for the Steam Community Hub.
