Map and unlocked zones
The Moonlit Forest has three unlocked zones: the Entry Glade (open from Day 1), the Dreamful Garden (catches 5 blue butterflies), and the Mystic Ruins (find all 7 keys). Each zone has fast-travel portals once you have visited them once, so the second-and-later runs are quick.
Keys, gates, and the chest walkthrough
Seven Moonlit Keys unlock the Mystic Ruins gate. Each key spawns on a fixed timer — Deer Camps, waterwheels, vine walls, and treasure chests. The official Forest Treasure Chest screenshot shows the visual style of the deeper zones. Bring a stack of food, since the vines and breakable walls all consume stamina.
Iron-ore route and the blue-butterfly puzzle
Catch five blue butterflies in the Entry Glade to unlock the Dreamful Garden's second floor. The second floor hosts 8–10 iron-ore nodes that respawn daily — enough for 4–5 smelts. Combine iron ore + 1 coal → 1 iron ingot at a level-2 furnace for your first furniture crafts and the axe upgrade path.
Deer camps, waterwheels, and forageable loot
Deer Camps reset every in-game week and drop Moonflowers, Red Mushrooms, and the occasional key fragment. Waterwheels (visible in the Lotus Pond Raft screenshot) lead to hidden coves with chests and the rare Twilight Succulent. Both are reliable respawn points.
Combat and mystic creatures
The mystic ruins host bats, large beetles, and the occasional mini-boss. The combat loop is simple: dodge, attack, use a stamina potion. Loot drops include Rare Seeds, Mystic Cloth, and the cosmetic-only Ancient Idol. Save a slot in your inventory for the Ancient Idol if you collect all seven.
