Starsand Island Roadmap — Post-Launch Plans

The Starsand Island post-launch roadmap: cross-platform multiplayer, additional NPC content, and future updates.

Starsand Island's roadmap was first published in February 2026 and has been delivered on schedule. Here is the original four-month plan, what actually shipped, and what is still expected post-launch.

March 2026 — themed items

Ethereal Styles added a Sun Wukong (Great Sage Equal to Heaven) themed outfit. Zerine's General Store added Firework-themed items, and Lex Woodworks added a Rednote collaboration set. All three landed in March as promised.

April 2026 — NPC voice and dating

April's update expanded NPC voice content and added the first version of the NPC dating system. Some 3-heart date scenes were localised only into Chinese and Japanese initially, with English localisation catching up in May.

May 2026 — mod tools and Workshop

May brought the first official mod tools and Steam Workshop support, allowing creators to share blueprints and outfits. The community responded quickly — over 50 mods were published on Nexus Mods within the first month.

June 2026 — multiplayer (slipped to August)

Multiplayer was originally targeted for June but was pushed to the Version 1.0 launch in August to ensure stability. The final delivery included the 4-player island host system, cross-platform evaluation commitment, and the Multiplayer Shop.

Post-1.0 priorities

The developer has committed to continued quality-of-life improvements, additional NPC voice content, evaluation of cross-platform multiplayer, and a seasonal content update before the end of 2026. Specific dates have not been announced yet.
